Racing is cool, hero dirt is cool, but bike friends are the coolest. I want to make a piece that pays tribute to good times, the stupid times, and the people that come together to get dirty.
There’s a place for dramatic voiceover, loud hub sounds, and 120 frames per second, but this piece will be all about fun DIY vibes.
THE IDEA: I want to document a MTB trip with just a 35mm film point and shoot and Super 8mm video camera to create a video (examples below) that pays tribute to the community of riders that we all have and induces some nostalgia and hope for the future. This style is also extremely inexpensive and easy to execute, even with states shut down. It would be easy to get supplemental traditional bike advertising assets, but the main product would be film.
VIDEO STYLE: I want to use both of these video styles to create an analogue, nostalgic feel with reference to the youthful punk vibe of skate culture.
